Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. This will be my opportunity to bear witness. I will be hated by all for His name’s sake, but not a hair of my head will perish.
By my endurance, I will gain my life.
More than that, I rejoice in my sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into my heart through the Holy Spirit which has been given to me.
For I have need of endurance, so that when I have done the will of God I may receive what is promised. But I am not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls. Therefore, since I am surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let me also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let me run with endurance the race that is set before me, looking unto Jesus, the founder and perfecter of my faith. If I have died with Him, I will also live with Him; if I endure, I will also reign with him. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters. He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me.
I love you, O Lord my strength.
