Niagara Falls Pictures

Panorama of Niagara Falls (click to view large)

While I was at Niagara Falls, I snapped the pictures that make up the 39 megapixel panorama seen above. I encourage clicking on it and viewing the full-size image; I think its kind of cool.

I’ve put up a gallery of other cool pictures from Niagara Falls here.

Quest 2011 Leadership

16th June 2011

Yesterday, I went out to the ALERT campus and took pictures of the 2011 Quest Leadership team. I had a hand in getting Quest started, then led it through five seasons. This year, the sixth Quest will take place without me. I miss it, to be honest, and I think I will feel that strongly throughout this summer. Quest was a huge part of my life for five years. But it is in good hands. Samuel Winkler, the new Quest Coordinator, is a man I respect highly and have complete confidence in. He asked me to come out and do pictures for them, and I was more than glad to help out.

You can view the pictures in the Quest Leadership photo gallery I assembled.

Planning

2nd May 2011

I’ve discovered a basic axiom: Cheesecake and coffee are always a good idea. Spent a quiet moment the other night mulling over maps for my upcoming trip while enjoying cheesecake (from the grocery bakery) and a cup of amazing Costa Rican coffee.

Rocky Soil

15th November 2010

Two thoughts come to mind with this picture: Firstly, Jesus’ parable about the seed in the rocky soil without roots. But, a more cheerful thought is of perseverance in spite of unfavorable conditions. I like the latter thought better.

Creation Teaches

14th November 2010

Creation teaches about its Creator, and I am ever so grateful for the five years I’ve spent in this place and the lessons learned.

Perspective

24th June 2010

When I look through the camera, I can see things differently. I gain a different perspective.

[doesn't this sound like a perfect setup for an analogy?]

Help me out: Finish this analogy:

Dinner.

21st June 2010

Dinner tonight. The steak, while winning on presentation, wasn’t actually all that great—the marinade was spot on, but the cut of meat (Round) wasn’t the best (although the bacon wrap did help alleviate the leanness some). The real winner of the evening was the potato and fennel fondant. Well worth the 1.5 hours to cook, the potato was rich and fluffy inside, crispy and flavorful outside. The fennel was straight up amazing.
